Homosexual people should have the same rights as straight people because they deserve to live a life without experiencing prejudice about their sexual orientation. Each person deserves to be who they are, they are born that way and people should accept them. Homosexual people are not different than straight people and not being heterosexual doesn't define them as a person. Every person should be treated equally. Illegal marriage is a form of discrimination. Also, your sexual orientation has nothing to do with their personality or whom they love. Fifty-five percent of people in the United States support homosexual marriage, in 2005 the percentage was at thirty-seven and by 2010 it had reached forty-four. The percentage of people who support homosexual marriage is going up almost every year now less and less people oppose it. There is no reason to treat them differently. The United States explains that thirty percent of homosexual youth attempt self-immolation near the age of 15. Gays and Lesbians are two to six times more likely to take their own lives than heterosexuals. Almost half of heterosexual community teens state they have self-slaughter more than once. Does everyone want people to commit suicide because they are afraid of being who they are? If that's how everyone wants the world to be then that's just selfish. Put yourself in their shoes and see if you would like it if everyone didn't like you just because you're not straight. Some might say that gay citizens should not have the same rights as everyone and same-sex marriage should be illegal. In America, a staggering thirty-three percent opposes it; some voters might also agree with California Prop 8 which states that the rights of Same-Sex marriage are eliminated. President Barack Obama once said that "Marriage is between a man and a woman." He once thought that same-sex marriage should be illegal but he now supports them. There are many reasons why gay citizens should have the same rights as everyone. Marriage is a basic human right. Which means that everyone has the right to be married no matter your sexuality; Same-sex marriage has no effect on the heterosexual community, so there should be no problem in giving them the same rights? Many teens commit suicide because they are bullied about their sexual orientation, if they have the same rights then teen suicide will be decreasing. "Traditional marriage" is completely wrong; there shouldn't be a thing as traditional marriage because gender should not have an effect.

The government should pay for college because of many reasons. Many people dont go to college because it is too expensive. Some people have to save up their money for years to be able to go. It would be easier if the government payed for it. I think the government should pay for college because many more people would go if they didnt have to pay. Everyone deserves to go to college if they want to and money is stopping them. Colleges are thousands of dollars not just hundreds. I get it that college teachers take lots of their time to teach people but dont they ever think that those thousands people have to pay is too much? I know it sucks a lot when people cant go because they dont that much money. People shouldnt have to pay for an education. Governments are being too strict with money to get that these funds are too high. People can just go to a community college because it is less but they dont teach you everything that an actual college teaches. |
